Obviously, we probably intake more toxins than we even realize which is why a cleanse is a good idea for anyone. Eating whole, organic (if you can) foods is a good way to start cleansing your body and the first step of this Arbonne Cleanse. People are overweight yet malnourished. This is why they want you to eat whole & up the nutrient intake while on the detox. Just by adding more veggies on your plate is an excellent start! Eliminate allergenic or addictive foods. The reason the Arbonne diet does this is because for starters, we often will be allergic to something without even knowing it. We crave it but it’s slowly making us sicker and sicker. Things to avoid during the cleanse are gluten, soy, dairy, and refined sugar. By eliminating these during the cleanse and slowly integrating one group at a time at the end of the cleanse, you’ll be able to see how your body reacts to everything. This one is the reason some fruits aren’t included in the diet. Each food has a glycemic index and the body needs to constantly have a good balance. But if you’re eating foods that are bad for you, it’s your body that is trying to make adjustments and overworking. The foods with a lower glycemic index are foods that release sugar slowly, make you feel full longer, and are what balances your blood sugar out. Support elimination organs. It tastes like a watered down apple cider vinegar. I didn’t think it was so bad. Then you finish the cleanse off with one more week of clean eating. Honestly, at the beginning, I didn’t think I was going to make it. I thought there was no way I could go 2. My parents were doing it as well, which helped a ton. I was coming off jet lag from France & my Texas trip and was tired with a big headache. I stuck it out and at the end of the week I was feeling a lot better. I was hoping to have all kinds of energy on the cleanse. I battled a cold half way through so that took some energy out of me too. I thought I was going to be pumping with energy. And at first I felt a little discouraged because I didn’t feel that way. I didn’t get headaches, which I normally do. My body felt good. I didn’t realize how good it all was until after I was off the cleanse. One day we were coming back from the beach and I hadn’t eaten since breakfast which was a shake in the morning. We skipped lunch and I was sooooo hungry. So my husband pulls off the freeway to find a place because let me tell you, when the Simmonses get hungry, it’s not a pretty sight.
